Edona Fasllija
B.Sc. M.Sc.Secure Applications, PhD Student
Edona Fasllija joined IAIK in 2018 as part of the Secure Information Technology Center Austria (A-SIT) team. Previously she was working as Software Engineer and Researcher at the e-ID Technologies Department at the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). She holds a bachelor and masters degree from the Computer Engineering Department of the Middle East Technical University (METU).
Research
My main interests include security and privacy preservation technologies and their applications to e-government sector, e-ID, e-signatures, and trust models. I have been involved in various large-scale EU-funded projects, such as:
- eSENS, on Building Block consolidation,
- FutureTrust, on supporting the practical implementation of the eIDAS regulation in Europe and beyond,
- LIGHTest, on creating a global cross-domain trust infrastructure based on DNS,
- SEMPER – Cross-border Semantic Interoperability of Powers and Mandates.
